哇靠! 又是台北 1.0

Greetings from windy Taipei!! Yes! I'm back, and even more in love with this city. There are surprises awaiting at every corner. No worries about getting bored, there's always something new to do and exciting little hidden gems everywhere I go. So lucky that I get to return so soon for work, and Nettie just flew in this morning to spend a few days here together with me :) Taipei really is our little piece of heaven.

My Pandora Journey

Remember my first Pandora post, when Nettie bought me the starter silver bracelet with 2 black rockstar clips and a Frog Prince charm?

Well after my birthday, the bracelet has grown quite substantially. I received 5 charms for my birthday from various friends and colleagues, which made the bracelet all the more meaningful.

1. I received a camera charm from my team in Singapore, since I'm such a shutter bug.
2. Laylay gave me a luggage charm, since I'm always on the road.
3. Irene gave me a murano purple star glass charm, to start me off on my purple-themed bracelet.
4. Natalia gave me a sparkly dangle star charm, for my love of stars. (btw she is the queen of pandora charms, she buys a few every weekend -_-)
5. Ivy gave me a prosperity bag charm, to keep me lucky!!

On my last trip overseas, I managed to snag the last ribbon spacer in Singapore at the airport. Last weekend I also added 2 purple glass murano charms and a peace sign dangle charm. My bracelet is looking all purple and pretty, just the way I envisioned it to be!! Here's how it looks now, about 3/4 complete already, and to think I only got it a month ago!! Really really really blessed and lucky I am.

On my wishlist and to-get list is the Japanese Waving Cat charm and the Cupcake charm!! ^^ It's sooooo addictive I don't know how to explain it. But it's a horribly expensive hobby, that's the only downside. I think the total cost of my bracelet is now about SGD 1000.

Am soo in love with all the murano glass beads. Just by changing the glass charms, your bracelet gets a totally new look and can match all your outfits!!! So when I complete the bracelet, that will be mission #2, getting different coloured glass charm sets! Also I heard that there are country specific charms, so now when I travel all over the world, I can visit all the different stores to see all the pretty charms and add to my collection! Gagagaga~~~

Hosted by Chef Nigel

My friend Nigel is a trained chef and loves to cook. (Hey that's not the only reason why we are friends ok!) But lookey here, we had a semi-casual dinner party with a 5-course menu over the weekend at his place which was ahh-mayyy-zing! We started with champagne at 6, took our time eating, talking, plating, washing, and finished with dessert at midnight. Burps. I love dinner parties, not just for the food, but also the bonding time with friends over wine and dinner conversations.

Weekend Meals: Prego & The Coffee Shot

Miss Kim was in town over the weekend. She surprised us at the office, and we decided to go for dinner. Goodness knows she needed dinner, she is so skinny now!! Always nice catching up with friends who I don't see often :)

We met up at Prego @ Fairmont Hotel Singapore. It was my first time there, though I've heard about it before. Really nice but pricey, so be ready to spend!

For starters, we had the caprese salad - the one here is really good! The cheese fills your mouth and is complemented by the thick balsamic vinegar (you can tell it's a really good grade of vinegar by its texture!) The rest had parma ham, olives and bruschetta.

For mains, I had the crab pasta (changed fusili to linguine). The crab meat chunks were big and fulfilling, though the sauce was a little too watery for my liking. The taste of the seafood cream sauce was still good though.

For desserts, we shared a tiramisu and a super sinful (but yum!) chocolate caramel cake. Yum yum in my tumtum! Though I still think the tiramisu at Poulet was the best I've had!

And what completes a good meal, of course the good company at the table!

That's me going "Look here Jinny..." Haha.

And on Saturday I went to get my iPhone 5! Haha finally! It's not so much the new phone, it's the "omgawwwddd I have 4G it's so fast!!!!!!!" Seriously. Why was I wasting money on 3G. Pfft.

Then went to meet my funny pals at The Coffee Shot where we had damn alot of cock to talk about. It's just down the road from Chye Seng Huat (which did not impress me...). There wasn't a crowd, there was good strong Wifi and the coffee was pretty good! I had the Tiramisu Latte (iced) and an Apple Crumble Pie with Vanilla Ice Cream (mmmmm yummy)! A little hidden gem I'd say!
