2016 > 2017

2016
The first year we truly lived our lives.
6515 miles away from Singapore.

Four seasons - bare, green, pink, red, orange, bare.
Trees, I'm talking about. We never had that before.

New job - new expertise.
New experiences.
And lots of good food.
Amsterdam.
Hong Kong, Taipei, London, Seattle.
Amsterdam.

Hellos and goodbyes.
Hello 2017.
Goodbye 2016.

Sleepless in Seattle

***

A quick 3-day trip to Seattle/Bellevue to get
some footage, and to supervise an on-site shoot.

It's a dream sometimes that I'm actually
doing videos for a living. The ups outweigh
the downs, and I should count my
blessings more often.

Hacky Halloween

***

A fun Halloween shoot I put together for @PlanetBooking

Lazy Recaps

Sept + October has been a blur.
Mummy and Daddy Yee came over for a week,
staying at an apartment just around the corner.
Daddy cooked dinner once, and we visited the
windmills at Zaanse Schans.

While they were here, it was a pleasant 18-20 degrees;
and it immediately dropped to 8 the week after.

So I've been enjoying the sun as much as I can,
while snuggling into my new cactus blanket on my couch
every evening watching 4400 on Netflix.

I also started a new role, and I think I kinda
have the #bestjobever. I'll post up a recent project soon.

The only sort of bad thing was that I had to
move offices with the role...and it has added
20 minutes to my bike journey every morning and evening.
I guess I will be pretty fit by the end of the year.

And can I say I have the best partner ever,
who cooks the best dishes ever for dinner,
and lunch and breakfast..
And if not goes out to explore all these
amazing food joints with me.

Sunday in Shoreditch

***

Last week in London,
we explored the back streets and
experienced the intensity of the Underground.
The familiarity of London is overwhelming,
even though it was our first time there.
If I ever miss Singapore,
I think I'd just book that 45-minute flight
to London to get my fix of colonial Asian-ness.
