Exploring Balestier

Singapore is a really small city, it truly is go Google it. But even so, I feel there are nooks and crannies that I haven't took time to explore truly. By chance, I got some time to explore and walk along the Heritage Trails of Balestier, and it was really an eye opener as to the hidden gems that street has been keeping.

Balestier Road is centrally located (towards the North) in Singapore, and is known for its good food - bak kut teh (a hot peppery soup), chicken rice and tau sar piar (red bean pastry). It's a mix of new condominiums, old art-deco shophouses, and cubist shopping centres, but walking along the road you still get a feel of olden Singapore. It's like time stopped for certain parts of the community.
